The purpose of posting this doctrinal statement is not to invite theological debate.
The purpose of posting this doctrinal statement is so that folks can have a general
idea of what kind of Bible study modules theyíll find here at DoctorDaveT.com. While
all modules do not adhere to all the points of this doctrinal statement, the body
of work posted here at DDT will broadly reflect these beliefs.
Dr. David S. Thomason is an Independent Baptist preacher. As such, he is a fundamental,
conservative, evangelical Baptist. The material on this site will broadly reflect
that philosophy of ministry.
ABOUT THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. We hold to itís original inspiration
and continued preservation. The Bible that we have today is Godís inspired Word.
We hold to a literal, historical, grammatical, contextual, dispensational interpretation
of Godís Word. As a result, we believe in a young earth creation.
We believe all mankind are sinners, and stand in need of salvation by grace through
faith in the shed blood of our Lord and Redeemer Jesus Christ. It is all of Godís
grace; it is none of manís merit. We believe in a ďwhosoever will may comeĒ genuine
invitation to repent and believe the gospel.
ABOUT JESUS CHRIST
We believe that Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh, the second person of the
Trinity. As such, He is to be believed, worshiped, loved, obeyed, and honored. We
also believe Him to be the perfect Man, and as such, able to be mankindís substitute
for the eternal penalty of sin.
ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person, the third person in the Trinity. We
understand that the bible teaches that the Holy Spirit immediately indwells all believers
at the moment of salvation during this church age. While we recognize the work of
the Spirit in modern man, this site does not promote charismatic doctrine nor modules.
ABOUT THINGS TO COME
We believe that the return of Christ will be Pre-Millennial and Pre-Tribulational.
We are looking for the Rapture of the New Testament church, to be followed by the
Tribulation, Millennium, the Great White Throne Judgment, and finally the New Heaven
and New Earth.
